I know I say this every month, but I can’t believe where the time has gone. Sometimes I don’t like doing these monthly updates because it just reminds me that we had a busy month, that time is passing quickly, and I feel some guilt from feeling like I’m not spending enough time with my kids or enjoying the little moments. I work hard to live life one day at a time as to not miss out on the small, beautiful experiences that I get to have as a stay at home mom to my boys. Luke is growing big and strong. He’s nice a thin, smiles constantly, and has such a tender spirit. I find it interesting how easy it is to see the sweet spirits of young children. It’s the most amazing experience to have such innocent, loving spirits in our home.
At 8 months, Luke:
- Is growing his 3rd tooth!
- Can pull himself into standing position in his crib, on couches, tables, stools, chairs.
- Started liking more solid foods
- Wears size 3 diapers
- Laughs all the time
- Can still fit in 3-6 month clothes because of how thin he is
- Had viral pink eye in both ears and an ear infection at the same time
- Celebrated his first Easter
- Sleeps in the same room as Chad in his own crib! (Hallelujah!)
- Crawls super fast
- Babbles and screeches
- Has his tongue sticking out a majority of the time
- Drools constantly

Luke has done exactly what his name means…he is light giving! The happiness, joy, light, and peace that he has brought to our home has been such a blessing for me. It took a lot longer to get pregnant with Luke that what I hoped for. It was divine intervention that brought him to me later than I hoped because I know he came to me to help me through my darkest hour. He is my light and I love him so much for that.
